LOW-FAT MAINTENANCE - Recommended for most non-egg laying birds kept under normal household conditions. Most birds will maintain a good weight and condition on this diet.

DAILY MAINTENANCE - Best for switching birds to pellets, as the higher fat content is more palatable to birds not used to a pelleted formula. It would also be used for birds that do not maintain a normal body weight on low-fat Maintenance, birds that are recovering from severe weight loss, and birds kept in low temperatures in outdoor flights.

BREEDER FORMULA - This formula was developed to meet the nutritional needs of a growing chick, and is used for breeding birds that are feeding their chicks, even for one day.

HIGH-ENERGY BREEDER FORMULA - This formula is to be used the same way a Breeder Formula, for the species such as Macaws that may need higher fat levels to maintain normal body weights and sustain healthy growth rates in chicks. If pulling the chicks at day one, use Maintenance. Use in colder conditions where more energy is needed.

FORMULA 3 HANDFEEDING DIET - Used for handfeeding psittacine chicks of any species from day one to weaning. This formula can be tested side by side against any formula on the market with results that can be seen in superior growth, coloration, and vitality.

OPTIMUM HANDFEEDING FORMULA - This formula was created for optimum mixing and handling characteristics as well as the already proven superiority in nutritional formulation exhibited by Formula 3. Will not set up when feeding large number of chicks (or in the crop), does not have any sugars that are not necessary and can contribute to yeast problems.

LORY NECTAR - Used with water as a nectar or dry for nectivores, such as lories and lorikeets when breeding or at maintenance. Some birds will eat Low-Fat Maintenance crumbles, which will give them drier droppings, as will feeding the nectar dry. This diet may be used as a handfeeding formula for nectivores from day one to weaning, although Formula 3 is the better choice. Breeder crumbles can be fed to parents feeding chicks if parents will eat the crumbles. When switching from other nectars, it may be helpful to mix 1/4 powdered sugar into the nectar and slowly decrease it over a period of time. Nectivores do not need this sugar, although they like and get accustomed to it.
